Fukishima Event Mitigation Turbine Control Systems Now Available

NEW LCC PMG SELF-POWERED SAFETY RELATED TURBINE CONTROLS AVAILABLE FOR AFT, RCIC, LPCI, and LPCI

In response to the urgent need for Fukishima-event mitigating control systems for safety-related emergency cooling pump drive turbines LCC has developed a fully self-powered turbine control and valve actuation system based upon a new (patent pending) technology.  The new technology utilizes a variable speed, constant voltage output Permanent Magnet Generator (PMG) which couples to the turbine end shaft in place of the governor oil pump.  The PMG powers the digital governor, governor valve electric actuator, operator stations and remote flow controller (if used).

The new PMG powers LCC's previous TEG-5 nuclear application governors.  Orders are being accepted for 2013 outage installations
